FRRouting is a fork of Quagga which was started by NetDEF/OpenSourceRouting together with multiple other companies in April 2017.
The idea of FRRouting is to try a new community model of Git-Centered development with automated testing to improve the speed of new features and bug fixes getting implemented.
FRRouting is a Linux Foundation Project – the Linux Foundation owns the trademark and logo, while the development is overseen be a fixed set of members of the TSC (Technical Steering Committee) and a large group of maintainers.
